Adventure is Calling! Join Cub Scouts Pack 558 – First through Fifth Grades!

The Bunker Hill Elementary Cub Scout Pack 558 invites all BHE boys in first through fifth grades to join. The purpose of cub scouts is aimed at building character, learning citizenship and developing personal fitness, and the organization and activities of scouting are geared to fulfilling these. Cub Scouting embraces the values of the Scout Law, encouraging Scouts to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program – all while they’re having a great time with their friends and families.

Cub Scout Pack 558 at Bunker Hill has a lot of fun and exciting activities planned for this year. Those activities include fall and spring campouts, an overnight trip (this year we’ll spend the night on the Battleship Texas!), the pinewood derby, cake-bake fund raiser, and various other events and activities. Cub Scouting is a family activity – yes, siblings are welcome! Enrollment is open to all boys in first through fifth grades – previous scouting is not required! And parents are also encouraged to participate – scouting needs adult leaders and we have volunteer positions available. Finally, our goal at Bunker Hill is to make scouts work with the other activities, not compete with them!

We invite you to the Cub Scout Sign-up night on Monday, September 18 from 6:30 to 8:00pm in the BHE cafeteria. If you have any questions, please contact Brent Arriaga, Lee Mikes, Jeremy McKeon, or Christopher Steininger.
